Perhaps what I loved most about this workshop is that we had the luxury of time to enter the body. We had two movement workshops a day, not following any format, just internal exploring of breathing and the vibrations of sound. And we explored those elements in a calm, gradual fashion all seven days, which brought me to unimaginable places! It was amazing how my consciousness would just follow where I was going.
We ended up being a group of 40. A lot of people signed up last-minute, and a large proportion of the group was the newer generation of Gyrotonic teachers. It was great to see some new faces and connect with people I had never met before. It was a great group. And as a group, we were able to go places that an individual just can’t get to. My body felt so good and peaceful; I went to a very quiet place. I could start to hear myself.
In some ways the workshop was similar to the breathing workshop but it went so far beyond. Juliu gave us so much more information about breathing and about meditation; so many things I never heard him talk about before. I can’t wait to do it again next year.
