Sebastian Plettenberg
is an internationally renowned GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®
Master Trainer conducting teacher trainings around the world. An
award-winning choreographer, he received his ballet training at the
National Ballet School in Germany and danced with many companies
throughout Europe. His clients include dancers from American Ballet
Theater, New York City Ballet, San Francisco Ballet and Boston Ballet.
He also regularly sees professionals from Broadway as well as Olympic
athletes.
Osi Itzhaki
is a successful singer performing in New York City Cabarets and Jazz
Clubs since 1998. She has recorded two Jazz Albums and is working on a
third.
Osi is an authorized Pre-trainer of Gyrotonic®, Certified Level 1
in Gyrokinesis® and all Specialized Equipment.
The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® has helped Osi awaken her instincts and tap
into sounds she had no idea existed in her vocal range.
These unique breathing patterns along with the undulating
motions of the spine have helped Osi find a
deeper connection to her music, to her body and most important a
deeper sensitivity and awareness to people
Erika Hassan
has studied dance for 15 years, and started her GYROTONIC® and
Gyrokinesis training in 1993, when she met Juliu Horvath. She took
private lessons with him for 3 years, which changed her body and her
life in general! The training opened up a vision of dance from the
inside out, so that outer forms are dictated by the energy within. She
is a dancer and choreographer and Master Trainer in GYROTONIC and
Gyrokinesis.
Allyson Ashley
began training as a student and teacher under Billy Macagone at Body
Evolution studio. She is a certified GYROTONIC® instructor
and has completed Gyrokenisis® teacher training with Sebastian
Plettenberg. Allyson has a BFA from Southern Methodist University
where she studied kinesiology in addition to ballet. After dancing with
Dance Theatre of Harlem for four years, Allyson has used time
offstage to seek deeper understanding of energy as it relates to
movement. The GYROTONIC system has supplied her with a clear,
focused mind and bodily facility strong and supple enough to express
all facets of the human condition. She hopes to guide all
of her clients toward much greater strength, flexibility and
coordination for use in their own lifestyles.
Jackson Kellogg
began studying the GYROTONIC Method several years ago under master trainer
Sebastian Plettenberg. He was introduced to the system by his
mother who has been an instructor for nearly a decade. He has since
taught Gyrokinesis at several Ballet schools including the Central
Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and the Miami City Ballet School. He
had the wonderful privilege of studying with Geta Constantinescu for
two years in Miami. Jackson spent his college years at the City
University Of New York in Harlem, and greatly looks forward to
returning to his home of New York.
Mathew Eisenhower
is an example of the impact that one Gyrotonic® session can have on
a student . Matthew divides his life between teaching music at Public
School 87 and teaching at Gyrotonic® Manhattan. He holds a B.S. in
Music Therapy from Suny New Paltz,and a M.A. and Ed.M in Music
Education from Columbia University. While pursuing his studies in Music
Education, he explored and trained in the work of Joseph Pilates.
Matthew traveled to Puerto Rico to study with “Pilates Elder” Lolita
san Miguel . Matthew completed Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis®
teacher training with Sebastian Plettenberg.
LeeAnn Morris
is a graduate of the California Maritime Academy. She comes to
Gyrotonic® Manhattan after
relocating from the San Francisco Bay area with her husband and two
sons. LeeAnn is an active sports enthusiast enjoying competing in
swimming, gymnastics and tennis. While rehabilitating from two spinal
herniations, LeeAnn found Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis®. Upon
recovery she became a certified Gyrotonic® instructor under
Sebstian Plettenberg. LeeAnn is proud to be a teacher with
Gyrotonic® Manhattan and happy to bring her love of Gyrotonic®
and Gyrokinesis® to her clients.
